Who we are

Earnest Security and Private Investigation Services has been owned and operated by law enforcement since 1992, working out of Oklahoma City and covering the state. We provide armed and unarmed officers, marked patrols, event and crowd coverage, executive protection, site security assessments, and licensed investigative work, and we run the CLEET school that certifies security guards and trains security teams for businesses across Oklahoma.

Officers are placed where they will be seen before anything happens. At a customer-facing location that means an officer who is part of how the place feels to the people walking in, while a high-risk site gets a post built around presence and attention to what is moving around it.

Every officer on your property was trained under this company's name and answers to a supervisor who picks up the phone, which is why the school and the guard company have always run under one license.

Edward Earnest

Earnest Security is owned and operated by Edward Earnest, a retired Oklahoma County Sheriff's Deputy and Academy Instructor. The company has run under his license since 1992.

Officers take continuing professional education and qualify twice each year. The people we put on a post are the people the school certified, which is what holds both sides of the business to the same standard.

Licensing, bonding, and coverage

Earnest Security and Private Investigation Services has been a licensed Oklahoma security agency under law enforcement ownership since 1992. Every officer is licensed and bonded as the state mandates, and every assignment carries general liability, workers' compensation, assault and battery, and errors and omissions coverage.

Certificates of insurance go out the same business day to the school, district, association, or property owner that asks for one. Tell us who the certificate needs to name when you ask, because the name on it is what makes it worth having.

Carriers price a documented, licensed, insured security presence as a mitigating control, so it is worth raising with your own underwriter before you renew. When an incident does happen, the written report and the standing procedure behind it are what the property owner has to show for it.
